To Remember (she said)

A somber and melancholic song based around a clumsy guitar line. On the original demo of this I not only played the guitar parts (one of the first times I had attempted this) but I also tapped out the drum parts on the pads of the pss-51. This later version still has real guitar but the drums were programmed into the mc-303 groovebox but kept fairly low key and down in the mix allowing the strings to build in waves growing the tension but ultimately taking the song back down to it's conclusion.
The song itself is about loss and coming to terms with it. When I hear it now I think subconsciously I was writing about my Grandmother, who was someone I always felt I had an emotional link to. She died not long after my Grandfather and I'd always promised I'd spend more time with her after his death but never did, something I will always regret. So I guess this song is trying to come to terms with that regret, it's how I imagine she'd want me to remember her
