| Musically I always imagined this as
a wall of sound where the instruments were heard as one voice rather than
separate entities. Based around that solid bass line I tried to blur together
all the keyboard counter melodies as well as the vocals which are pretty
low down in the mix. The vocals were very layered and I used similar chorus
and reverb effects on them as had been applied to the instrumentation.
There was definitely no religious intent involved when writing this but
I did like the use of Heaven as a metaphor for that better place or something
(strange how religious that sounds now I think about it). We often go through
this life shackled by our own cynicism and this song is about finding that
someone or something that gives you a fresh way of looking at things. The
"She" involved isn't necessarily a person but could just as easily
be a theory or different way of thinking, the she is optimism in whatever
form it happens to take.
